Blind Faith In Astrology Is A Misuse Of Astronomy

Though we have a legacy of astronomical understandings, Still our society is to a certain extent astronomically illiterate. The latest saddest
incident in which an innocent child was brutally killed by his own father is an example of it. The advertisements in the matrimonial columns
of our newspapers and advertisements of astrolegers offering solutions for all human miseries show that our country is in a very poor state of
affairs as far as scientific attitude is concerned. A strong and wide movement is nececcery to make our bretheren astronomically literate.
The solution is very simple. Let all the members of all families spend atleast an hour a night watching the sky. Let them ask a 100 questions
about the Stars, Planets and other heavenly objects. Within days they will convince themselves that these huge heavenly bodies incessantly in
motion far away from our planet have nothing to do with our daily life. It is high time we expose the greedy astrologers and save our children
and young women from the clutche of their unscientific predictions.
